I have done some research on gardens, and I have decided that this winter I am going to try to expand the veggies in our garden. Today I am going to plant my garlic that has been sitting in the fridge for some time now. I found out that if you plant each sprouting clove that it will grow into a heart of garlic!!! I am so excited to learn this and now I know why I just knew that I should not throw out that garlic in my fridge. :) I think that I am also going to plant some potatoes, maybe in a couple of weeks. I first need to buy some and let them sprout, and then you can plant them. I also think that I will try for carrots, my mom used to grow them and I remember that I loved to watch them grow and I think they are pretty easy! Wish me luck on these new endeavors!
My office is officially complete!!! After painting more than half with a color I bought, I realized that I didn't like it and it didn't make me happy. So I repainted and I finished on Friday! It looks absolutely great and I love it! Here are the before pics:
Here are the new pics that I look today!

On the lighter wall you can see the contrast on the door and molding! It is kinda grey/light purple.

1 cup smart balance butter, melted
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 tbsp soy milk
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 1/2 cups oatmeal
1 3/4 cups dark chocolate chips (about 12-oz.)
Preheat the oven to 350F.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and the sugars until mixture is light in color. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the soy milk and the vanilla extract.
In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Either by hand or with the mixer on low speed, gradually beat the flour in to the sugar mixture until just incorporated.
Stir in the oats and chocolate chips by hand.
Drop 1-inch balls of dough onto the cookie sheet, placing about 1 1/2 inches apart so they have room to spread.
Bake at 350F for 10-13 minutes, until golden brown at the edges and light golden at the center.
Cool on baking sheet for at least 1-2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
